Canadian Affiliate Information

HyLine welcomes Canadian affiliates. You earn the same commissions and operate exactly like U.S. affiliates, with a few important differences your Canadian customers must understand before purchasing.

1. Commissions (Same as U.S.)
  • Canadian affiliates earn the same commission rates as U.S. affiliates.
  • All commissions are paid in USD.
  • Exchange-rate conversion is handled by your bank or payment provider.

2. What Canadian Customers Pay
Canadian buyers pay:
A. Machine price + shipping at checkout
(Example: $2,695 + approx. $79 shipping)
Then when the machine arrives, they pay:
B. Taxes (GST/HST/PST)
Based on their province:
  • Alberta: 5%
  • BC: 12%
  • Ontario: 13%
  • Quebec: ~14.975%
  • Atlantic provinces: 15%
C. Brokerage fee (UPS/FedEx)
Typically $40–$70 USD, depending on carrier.
Total for most Canadian customers:
$3,000–$3,250 USD all-in.
Affiliates should communicate this upfront to avoid surprise charges.

3. Simple Script Affiliates Can Use
Provide this to your Canadian audience:
“HyLine ships from the U.S. You’ll pay the machine price + shipping at checkout, then Canadian taxes and a brokerage fee when it arrives. Most people end up around $3,000–$3,250 total. It’s completely normal for U.S.-to-Canada shipments.”
This one sentence eliminates 95% of confusion.

4. Warranty Notes for Canadian Affiliates
Canadian customers get the same 5-year warranty as U.S. customers, with these shipping rules:
  • Customer pays to ship the machine to HyLine (U.S.)
  • HyLine pays to ship the repaired unit back to Canada
  • Return shipments are declared as “Warranty Repair – No Commercial Value”
  • No duties or taxes apply on warranty returns
Affiliates should highlight this—it reassures Canadian buyers.

5. High-Volume Affiliate Requirement (Legal Note)
If a Canadian affiliate earns over $30,000 CAD in referrals within 12 months, Canadian law may require:
  • GST/HST registration
  • Collection and remittance of tax
This applies only to high-volume affiliates and is a Canada Revenue Agency requirement.
HyLine does not administer or enforce Canadian tax rules.

6. No Canadian Inventory or Resale Without Approval
Canadian affiliates may refer customers freely.
However, storing inventory or reselling machines directly in Canada requires:
  • HyLine’s written approval
  • A formal distributor or reseller agreement
This protects pricing consistency, warranty coverage, and brand integrity.
